Prefix’s involvement early in design helps engineers get faster validation on Schematic Design. The Prefix team is proficient in Mechanical and Plumbing design calculations, as well as the means and methods to coordinate and lay out the work. We practice lean principles, so eliminating waste in the design process is critical. Having multiple parties (Engineers, Subcontractors, and even CMs) model in 3D is time consuming and ultimately wasteful for the owner.

With Advanced Coordination, Engineers will see a reduction in time and effort across all phases of the project:

• Engineers do not need to model their scope, 2D diagrammatic layout is all that is needed to communicate intent - saving time. Since Prefix is modeling the entire MEP scope, there is no need to duplicate the efforts.

• a reduction in RFIs after design, as well as far less time spent in coordination.

• When the design is optimized for manufacturing, off-site prefabrication reduces on-site time, thus reducing Construction Administration.
