Yale Health Center
Project Type: University Health Services Center

Client: Yale University
Stats: 147,000 sf / $78 million / year: 2010
The new Yale Health Services Center includes state-of-the-art healthcare practice facilities, laboratories, and other medical support spaces for the Yale Campus.
Prefix (then Spectrum) was engaged to start Advanced Coordination with Structural, Architectural, and MEP modeling as the original scope.
Curtain wall Coordination
During Design, Prefix was asked to review the facade and model skin as part of the coordination scope.
Modeling showed several issues with curtain wall window openings, and much effort went into resolving curtainwall with structural and design teams - Coordinating with key lines to identify where glazing and structure meet.
The team caught and solved the issues before glazer started majority of work.
MEP Coordination
In parallel with resolving facade and design issues, Prefix performed MEP coordination - modeling the entire scope on most floors and resolving issues beforehand.
